CASO (Chicago All Sports Organizers) has been instrumental through years in organizing multiple recreational; semi-professional cricket tournaments and events – through which various talents have found their way to the US Cricket as well as minor league teams. With growth of cricket in US, CASO found a need to get more involvement by the cricket enthusiasts, businessmen in the local cricket and encouraging good performances. The result of this brainstorming activity is American T20 trophy.

American T20 Trophy started as a week-night leather/white ball cricket tournament being organized by  CASO starting in 2021. In the first season, this was a 4-team event, which unlike other recreational cricket leagues, have Team owners investing in the Chicago cricket talent through a draft based process. Players who have played for US National/ Minor League teams as well as the members selected for the zonal teams & US national practice squad to participate in this tournament from May-August 2021. With the tremendous success of the first year, we had a new team join forces with the AmericanT20 brand and 2022 promises to be a 5 team tussle, with unlimited excitement for cricket fans.

Overall objective continues to be – to motivate the right talent at the right time and provide the platform to play with quality team mates & opposition. Our plans include extending this format to an extended number of teams and get top quality international players represent local teams similar to IPL, PSL and CPL tournaments. This will be possible with support from the local Businesses as well as cricket enthusiasts who would love to grow the game, we all love
